Curated by French art institutions Centre Pompidou and the Musée National Picasso-Paris, the exhibition features more than 80 masterpieces from the revolutionary Spanish artist. Through 15 themed sections, travel through Picasso’s distinct art periods, including his Blue Period and cubism. You’ll also find 100 works from Picasso’s contemporaries – many of whom are rarely exhibited in Australia – to put Picasso’s extraordinary influence in context.
At this one-off event, start in a secluded space in the gallery with a glass of bubbles in hand, where you’ll hear first-hand insights in a special Q&A hosted by Broadsheet’s editorial director Katya Wachtel and NGV’s curator of international exhibitions, Meg Slater. You’ll then have the chance to explore the exhibition in a private viewing – all for just $35.
Even your transport for the night is covered with a $30 voucher from taxi and rideshare aggregator app Placie.
There are just 100 tickets available, so don’t wait.
