Broadsheet Access: Preview Mecca’s Parisian-Themed Pop-Up Cafe for Free

Thu 4th April, 2024
12:00pm – 4:00pm
30 Hardware Lane Melbourne 3000
Price: Free
Mecca is opening a classic Parisian cafe in Melbourne’s CBD for a short time only. Access members get to experience it first – and for free.

On Melbourne’s Hardware Lane, Mecca is transforming a quiet coffee shop into a luxurious Parisian cafe in collaboration with French fragrance house Diptyque.

Andrew McConnell's neighbourhood grocer Morning Market has curated the menu at Cafe Diptyque. Expect rich hot chocolate served with a side of whipped cream (yes, just like the ones from Parisian classic Carette), warm Baker Bleu croissants and petits fours. You’ll also find three yet-to-be-revealed candle sets from Diptyque, plus its iconic core range.

With quaint furniture and French-inspired crockery and table settings, you’ll truly feel like you’ve been transported to Paris (even if just for the hour). The pop-up is only around from April 5 to April 19, with limited sessions throughout the day.

Mecca is inviting Broadsheet Access members to an exclusive preview session the day before Cafe Diptyque opens to the public. Best of all, it’s free.

There are very limited spots available so join Access and be quick to secure yours. Tickets drop at 2pm on Monday April 1.
