More than 300 diehard Lego fans from all over the country will unite at the Royal Exhibition Building to showcase their topnotch construction skills. The volunteer-run, Australian-based convention will host two public expo days in January, with five per cent of ticket sales going to bushfire relief.
On exhibit will be trains and planes, castles and spaceships, buildings and sculptures, and plenty of Star Wars-inspired models. You can also build your own creation in the “build zone” then stock up on rare Lego sets to take home.
Entry will be staggered in 20-minute time slots, but you can stay for as long as you like afterwards. On Sunday there’ll be a special-needs session with a smaller crowd and limited noise.
From 9am to 5pm on Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
