Moon Dog World has entered the breakfast game. It’s now serving morning-appropriate – and family-friendly – dishes from 8am till 11am on weekends.
Try the punny Breakfast in Bread, a toasted milk bun with soft scrambled eggs, streaky bacon and crunchy potato gems. Other dishes include caramelised-banana waffles with peanut-and-chocolate brittle; and a ham-and-gruyere benedict with hollandaise, chives and pea tendrils. Almost everything can be made gluten free, vegetarian or vegan.
Kids can choose from smashed avo on toast, eggs and soldiers, a ham-and-cheese toastie, and custard rice with cinnamon and sliced banana – they’re 10 bucks each.
To drink there’s coffee by Coffee Supreme, hot chocolates by Koko Black and brews by Love Tea. Organic kombucha, fresh juices, and virgin Bloody Marys are also on the menu. For something sweet (and nostalgic) try the cereal milk, flavoured with either Rice Bubbles or Corn Flakes.
The liquor licence kicks in as soon as breakfast services ends at 11am. Hang around for a beer or two.
Bookings can be made for groups of eight or more.
