An immersive light experience, an after-dark projection festival and a boulevard of more than 50,000 tulips are some of the events on the Ignite lineup in Bendigo this spring.

New festival Bloom celebrates the very best of Bendigo from September through November this year, with a robust roster of events, festivals and experiences.

White Night held its last event in Melbourne in 2018, but this year the projection festival will light up the heritage buildings of Bendigo’s CBD. For one night only on September 3, White Night Bendigo will illuminate public and private spaces in Bendigo’s city streets with a mesmerising curation of projections and plenty of other art installations (and snacks) to be found along the way.

Later in September as the weather warms up, a bountiful array of tulips will start to bloom and brighten the streets as part of Bendigo’s Annual Tulip Display. More than 50,000 tulips in a range of different colours and sizes will line Pall Mall, Bendigo’s main boulevard, creating a spectacular garden display in mid-September until early-October.

From October 1 to 16, the Bendigo Uncorked Wine Festival will host a range wine-related activities – like dinners, cellar door experiences, weekend vineyard tours, new release launches and even a night of wine and entertainment in an historic cinema – across the Greater Bendigo region. A highlight is the Bendigo Winegrowers’s inaugural Spring Fiesta event at Bendigo’s Gardens of the Future on Saturday October 15.
