A science storytelling event about the heroes of space exploration.

Laborastory is science as you may not know it – an exhilarating storytelling event about heroes, egos, breakthroughs and the mistakes of genius.

Scienceworks is hosting the Best of Laborastory on Wednesday December 5, sharing stories of prominent scientists whose legacies remain an inspiration for many people today. The speakers presenting their heroes include Dr Freda Werdiger, James Hutson, Dr Kiri Beilby and Mark Nikolic.

That’s not all on the agenda. Visitors can set their sights on the Museum of the Moon, an awe-inspiring, seven-metre-diameter spherical sculpture that features enormous imagery from NASA of the moon’s curious surface. Those with unfulfilled childhood astronaut aspirations can seize a rare opportunity to slide on a virtual reality headset and step into the International Space Station and experience virtual space flight.

Aptly, Moon Dog craft beers will be available to enjoy while listening to enthralling tales of discovery, alongside delicious dinner offerings.
