Bathe in Cinema
Peninsula Hot Springs, a natural hot springs on the Mornington Peninsula – which added a new wing of hot mineral pools, saunas and a “deep freeze” in 2018 – is screening classic films in its bathhouse amphitheatre cinema during February.
It’s only 90 minutes from Melbourne, so you can skip Friday night knock-offs, jump in the car, and arrive in time for the 8.15pm screening.
This year’s season will run every Friday of the month, with a special Valentine’s Day screening on Sunday February 14. Each film will be decided by a public poll on the Peninsula Hot Springs Facebook page; have your say there.
Screenings are free with bathhouse bathing, which is $20 to $150 per person (depending on the timeframe) and can be booked in advance. And you can also grab a picnic hamper to graze on before the movie.
