Bathe in Cinema
Peninsula Hot Springs, a natural hot springs on the Mornington Peninsula, which added a new wing of hot mineral pools, saunas and a “deep freeze” in 2018, is screening classic films in its bathhouse amphitheatre cinema on Friday nights.
It's only 90 minutes from Melbourne. Skip Friday night knock-offs, jump in the car, and arrive in time for the 8pm screening.
This year's season will kick off with British rom-com Notting Hill on Valentine’s Day. From then on, the week’s film will be decided by a public poll on the Peninsula Hot Springs Facebook page. The results of the latest poll are in and on March 6, there'll be a screening of the 1987 classic Dirty Dancing (because nobody puts Baby in a corner).
Screenings are free with bathhouse bathing, which is $22 to $55 per person and can be booked in advance. And you can also grab a $15 grazing platter or pizza to snack on before the movie.
This article was updated on March 5 to reflect the updated program.
