This is a rare event that will appeal to whiskey experts and newbies alike: an intimate dinner by Neil Perry designed to showcase the complex flavour profiles of top-notch whiskey, Woodford Reserve. It involves tastings and bespoke cocktails throughout the night.
Hosted by Woodford Reserve ambassador Linus Schaxmann at Rockpool Bar and Grill, diners will be guided on a journey through flavour profiles during a tasting of three small-batch bourbons: Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select, Double Oak and Rye (for the experts: there will also be a tasting of a limited barrel chosen by Rockpool COO Frank Tucker).
The four-course meal will be paired with cocktails designed to showcase the flavour complexity of the different whisky expressions, including the Fruit and Floral cocktail (Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select, chamomile syrup, mandarin and lemon), Spice (Woodford Reserve Rye, fino sherry, citrus and ginger) and Sweet Aromatics (Woodford Reserve Double Oak, blackberry and amaro).
Walk away from the evening with a newfound knowledge and appreciation of the process of fermentation, distillation and maturation of whiskey.
