Bad Girls Disco Roller Jam
Remember how rollerblades were cool and then they weren't? Well that never happened to rollerskates. The two in the front two in the back combo has stood the test of time. And then there's disco. It was cool in the '70s, reviled in the '90s and now it's back pumping from the speakers of Melbourne's best clubs and band rooms. Throw those two things together and you've got a roller-disco, baby!
Now Melbourne Music Week is turning its hub at ACMI into a real-deal wheelie dance floor for a live disco bonanza. Local soul legends Renée Geyer, Kylie Auldist and Chelsea Wilson will belt out some classic disco cuts as you weave your way through the mirror balls and glitter, and long-time Melbourne dance floor queen DJ Jnett will spin tracks from four decades of music. It would be a perfect time to play Roller Disco please, Jnett.
From 7pm.
