In an ultimate throwback, the team behind former CBD pop-up bar Fancy Free is bringing back the Bacardi Breezer – well, sort of.
For one day only, the beverage buffs will be serving gussied-up odes to the Bacardi beverage that bested us all in our early 20s. And they’ll be bottled and labelled just like the real deal.
While most of the flavours will remain under wraps until the day, one you can expect – Peaches & Cream – will be a mix of fermented-peach milk punch, Bacardi Carta Blanca … "and potentially some glitter".
And Bar Liberty is on snack duty (naturally). The menu will include Sydney rock oysters with white nectarine vinegar, grilled calamari with lovage and lemon, torched kingfish with smoked-kohlrabi marinade, and fried cauliflower with nutmeg salt.
The tunes will be mainly disco and afro pop, with all three Fancy Free team members taking turns on the decks.
