Australian Premiere of Hand to God
Robert Askin’s critically acclaimed play Hand to God will be making its Australian debut this month at St Kilda’s Alex Theatre. It's an adults-only night out featuring a demonic sock puppet named Tyrone.
The black comedy, directed by Gary Abrahams, features Australian Logie and AFI award winner Gyton Grantley (The Dressmaker, Underbelly) as awkward teen Jason whose sock puppet Tyrone begins to wreak havoc on his small Texas town.
Grantley is joined by Logie Award-winning actress Alison Whyte as his mother Margery; Grant Piro as Pastor Greg, Jake Speer (Home & Away) as Timothy, and New Zealand actor Morgana O’Reilly as Jessica.
The play will run for a limited season, with shows from Tuesday to Sunday until mid March.
