To celebrate the launch of his new book Uses for Obsession: A Chef’s Memoir, Ben Shewry – chef and owner of internationally lauded Melbourne fine diner Attica – is touring the country for a series of talks and book signings.
Melbourne fans are in for a special treat, with serves of his famed bolognaise on offer, in take-home mugs, at his first two tour stops.
The chef’s love for the humble pasta sauce, a special occasion meal in the Shewry family, has become an obsession – hence his book’s title.
The tour will kick off with Shewry’s book launch at Fitzroy Town Hall, featuring a conversation with Aussie radio presenter Zan Rowe. Tickets start at $25 and include Attica’s famous bolognaise. (Update: the Fitzroy Town Hall event has sold out.)
If you head to the Prahran Market book signing at G McBean Family Butchers on October 5, you can also purchase Shewry’s lockdown-famous lasagne.
If you miss these first two talks, you can still catch Shewry elsewhere in Melbourne and Victoria – but without his signature dishes in tow.
