Heide’s commemorative exhibition of French-Australian visual artist Mirka Mora’s most personal works will stay open beyond normal visiting hours for special twilight viewings, along with three other exhibitions.
Wander through the galleries taking in the four exhibitions on display, including Mora’s soft sculpture and sketchbooks, works by Albert Tucker and artists promoted by gallerist Sweeney Reed, and experimental photography.
The evening will be soundtracked by contemporary improv ensemble Australian Art Orchestra. Patrons are welcome to BYO picnic and make the most of the relaxed outdoor atmosphere— alternatively, a light menu will be available from the onsite cafe.
Anyone looking for a keepsake to take home at the end of the night can choose to purchase Mirka & Georges: A Culinary Affair from the museum store – a book celebrating Mora and her partner Georges Mora’s contributions to Melbourne’s artistic and restaurant scenes.
Gallery open until 8pm.
