With a Grammy nomination in tow, the phenomenal punk band will play a free all-ages gig at Fed Square to celebrate the arrival of ACDC’s Power Up tour.

Amyl and the Sniffers have been on the up for a few years now, but 2025 was the year the Melbourne punk rock band conquered the world.

The band’s third album, Cartoon Darkness, reached critical mass and saw lead singles Jerkin’ and U Should Not Be Doing That become surefire anthems of female empowerment. Cue the sold-out tours across the US, UK, Europe and South America, plus monster crowds at this year’s Glastonbury and Coachella festivals, where Amy Taylor galvanised her status as one of rock’s greatest frontwomen.

Newly minted with their first Grammy nomination for Best Rock Act, Amyl and the Sniffers have just announced an all-ages show in Fed Square on Friday, November 14. The band are touring the country as part of AC/DC’s Power Up tour, and the surprise gig is a celebration of the legendary rock band’s arrival in Melbourne. Pop punk band Public Figures will open the night with a mix of original songs and Acca Dacca covers.
