Amy Winehouse – A Tribute
Amy Winehouse fans can experience the late singer’s music live this Sunday at two special tribute shows.
Lead by musical director Darcy McNulty (Jazz Party, Clairy Browne & The Bangin Rackettes), performers including 2017 ARIA award winner Elana Stone (All Our Exes Live in Texas), Kylie Auldist (The Bamboos, Cookin' on 3 Burners), Rita Satch, Loretta Miller (Jazz Party), Alma Zygier and Lachlan Mitchell (Jazz Party, Vulture Street Tape Gang) will take to the stage of St Kilda's Memo Music Hall to celebrate Winehouse's legacy.
They'll be performing songs from her catalogue (expect hits such as Back to Black and Valerie), alongside songs by the blues artists which influenced her musical life.
The tribute shows are part of the upcoming St Kilda Festival line-up and were planned in partnership with the Jewish Museum of Australia's current Amy Winehouse exhibition.
There will be a matinee performance from 2pm and an evening show from 7pm, followed by a DJ set. Both run for two hours with an interval.
