Kick off The Australian Ballet's 2024 season immersed in a world of wonder with this much-loved production returning to the Aussie stage.

Fall back down the rabbit hole as the much-loved production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland© returns to the Arts Centre Melbourne, for the first time since 2019.

A collaboration between The Australian Ballet and the National Ballet of Japan, acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon will once again bring Lewis Carroll’s tale to life coupled with eye-catching sets and costumes by Tony Award-winning designer Bob Crowley and Joby Talbot's cinematic score.

Expect to be treated to an audiovisual feast for the senses with larger-than-life characters, puppetry and illusions, immersive digital projections and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

You'll see all the stars from the original story, with a contemporary vaudeville twist: the elusive White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar, and the Queen of Hearts.

Equal parts absurd and laugh-out-loud funny, this stage adaptation – which won two prestigious Helpmann Awards in 2018 for Best Ballet and Best Female Dancer (Ako Kondo)– doesn’t shy away from exploring the more unnerving elements of what happens when young Alice falls down a rabbit hole into a topsy-turvy new universe.
