Innocent Bystander in Healesville is a spacious ex-brewery turned multi-purpose restaurant, bar and cellar door. To that now add: live-music venue.
This month the warehouse-like space will host Melbourne musician Ali Barter. Best known for indie-pop gems Cigarette, Hypercolour, and Triple J favourite Girlie Bits, Barter will take time out from her tour supporting Ball Park Music around the country to perform an intimate solo acoustic set. Barter has a string of sold-out headline shows to her name, so this is a rare chance to see her at an intimate performance. Tickets include a drink on arrival and there will be cushions, couches, wine, and pizza available.
Since occupying the former White Rabbit brewery on Maroondah Highway in Healesville in 2017, Innocent Bystander has become a major draw for locals and travellers. As well as a full range of in-house wines – including its signature pink moscato – behind its 15-metre stone bar, there are Hargreaves Hill beers and ciders on tap, a handful of quality local spirits including Four Pillars, and a menu loaded with pizza and paella options.
From 5pm to 8pm.
