AFLW Season Wrap
The third season of the AFL Women’s league launched in February with two new teams and its usually flurry of excitement, cheap(er) pies and mid-strength beers.
It’s been another stellar seven weeks of thrills, spills and ruptured ACLs as the not-so-new competition continues to finds its feet in stadiums and suburban footy ovals across the country.
As the league matures, some growing pains are inevitable. At the Wheeler Centre’s annual end-of-season wrap, the panel will look back at the highs and lows of the 2019 season, and onwards to 2020.
Panellists include freelance sports journalist and host of Triple R’s Kicks Like a Girl Kate O'Halloran; writer and audio producer Kirby Fenwick, who hosts a segment on the same program, and whose audio documentary The First Friday in February recounts the first AFLW game; and Yolngu woman Leila Gurruwiwi, a regular panellist on NITV’s The Marngrook Footy Show. It’ll be a ball.
From 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
