ACMI Presents Prehistoric VR

Sat 23rd September, 2017 – Sun 8th October, 2017
Federation Square, Flinders Street, Melbourne VIC 3000
Get a virtual experience of prehistoric life.

Internationally renowned makers of large-scale puppetry experiences, Erth Visual & Physical Inc, have teamed up with Samantha Lang, an award winning visual artist and filmmaker, for an upcoming ACMI exhibition.

Prehistoric VR will give you the chance to virtually explore and swim along the ocean floor alongside some of the world’s most prehistoric marine life.

The experience is just as much about getting up close and personal with aquatic creatures from the Ediacaran (635 million years ago) and Cretaceous (the last and longest part of the Mesozoic era) periods as it is about learning the science behind palaeontology (the study of fossils).

This latest ACMI commission is based on Erth’s stage show, Prehistoric Aquarium.

Prehistoric VR runs from September 23 until October 8, open daily from 11am to 4pm.
