ACMI Family Sleepover

Sat 13th January, 2018 – Sun 14th January, 2018
Price: $130–$180
For the first time this Melbourne cultural institution is inviting you to spend the night.

Pizza. Wallace & Gromit. Sleeping beside a ship. Welcome to A Grand Night In, a sleepover event at ACMI in January that celebrates its exhibition Wallace & Gromit and Friends: The Magic of Aardman.

Kids and parents will be taken on a torchlight tour of the show, which is a behind-the-scenes look at more than 40 years of the claymation studio's productions, such as Shaun the Sheep, Chicken Run and of course, Wallace & Gromit.

The sleepover will give guests the opportunity to create their own claymation masterpieces. Then there'll be a pizza dinner and screenings of Aardman's hits on a giant screen. Sleep time – in sleeping bags – happens beside a five-metre tall ship built for The Pirates! Band of Misfits, which is the largest model Aardman has ever made.

The sleepover also includes breakfast.

Family Sleepover: A Grand Night In is part of ACMI’s summer holiday program, which runs from Saturday January 13 to Sunday January 14, 2018.
