Lululemon x A-Space Pop-Up Meditation Studio
Activewear company Lululemon has partnered with roving meditation studio A-Space to bring its next pop-up to Cremorne.
From 21 May to August 16 fashion retailer Ryder, on Cubitt Street, will become an after-hours space for Melburnians to breathe in and have a mindful moment to themselves.
Group meditations will be held from 7pm to 7.45pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. And on Friday June 7, the short-term studio will offer a workshop on making conscious connections in a busy world (you might even leave with a new friend). A mass meditation on Friday August 24 will cap off the partnership’s efforts to strengthen communities and bring mindfulness to people’s lives.
The new program was developed based on feedback from attendees of the previous A-Space pop-up in Collingwood.
The meditations will focus on practices for better sleep, sound mental health and meaningful relationships. The workshops will focus on creating meaningful connections and the ways meditation can help us feel less overwhelmed by the demands of modern life.
Even the pop-up locations are thoughtfully chosen – Cremorne is an ideal middle ground for south-side and north-side devotees. Apparently even mindfulness can’t solve the city’s turf war.
