$6 Movie Tickets for Kino Cinemas’ 30th Birthday
In 1987 Australia, Bob Hawke was Prime Minister, Kylie Minogue was topping the charts and movie tickets were $6 at Kino Cinemas.
You don’t need a time machine to relive the last part though. To celebrate its 30th birthday, Kino will be selling tickets and snacks at 1987 prices – meaning $3 choc tops and $1 popcorn – from June 23 to 25.
The movie line-up is yet to be announced, although Kino has hinted that it will include the best performing films from during its 30-year history.
