As any regular knows, the Beaufort in full party mode is something to behold. For its fifth birthday the whisky and rib joint has arranged something of a coup, securing members of Queens of the Stone Age (Troy, Mikey & Dean) as DJs for the night.

It will be the only place to see QOTSA after their sold out Melbourne show.

There will be other entertainment on the night, too. Though, in typically elusive fashion, the bar is keeping most of the details under wraps. One thing is for sure, many shots will be poured, pendant lights bashed and tinnies crushed.

A rotation of bartenders past and present will serve their own signature drinks to cap-off the night, including Brodie Meah from Dinner by Heston, Matt Roberts from Heart Attack and Vine. and Julian Brown from Gilson.

This will cap off a stellar year for the bar that saw owner Dave Kerr placed fifth in Bacardi Legacy, the prestigious international cocktail competition. The team also received five nominations for the Australia Bartender Magazine 2017 Awards, including Bar of the Year and operator of the year for Kerr.

Get in early, this is going to be hectic.

The Beaufort’s fifth birthday takes place from 6pm Thursday July 20.
