You could knock off Fridays with a beer at your local. Or, you can party with your favourite bands in the NGV’s Great Hall – and duck into two major exhibitions at a steal.

The NGV's new Friday Nights season opens on November 11 and continues through the summer months until March 10, 2017. The music line-up is an absolute cracker.

The Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer, Memphis singer-songwriter Julien Baker, seminal Aussie ’90s band Custard, Latin electro-pop act El Guincho, and the experimental PVT are all on the bill.

As for excellent and local, there’s No Zu, Dappled Cities, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks, Gold Class, I Heart Hiroshima, Olympia – it goes on.

Along with the live show, tickets include after-hours entry to both major exhibitions: David Hockney: Current and Viktor&Rolf: Fashion Artists.
