Midnight Oil is one of Australia’s most loved rock bands. Lucky for Melbourne fans, they’ve just released extra tickets and an extra date for the international The Great Circle 2017 tour, which was announced earlier in the year and quickly sold out.
To meet the demand the band has announced a third concert for the Sidney Myer Music Bowl to finish their tour. The new performance will be held on November 15.
One thousand extra tickets have also been released for the band’s concert at Hanging Rock on November 4.
The tour began Monday in Alice Springs. It’s the band’s first world tour in more than two decades. The band are now making their way down the east coast with 16 shows along the road before reaching the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
Initially, the band had planned to finish the tour in Sydney, but changed plans after the response from nostalgic Melbourne fans.
Something for Kate, David Bridie, the John Butler Trio and Frank Yamma will join Midnight Oil on the tour.
