For over 160 years, Studley Park Boathouse was one of Melbourne’s best spots for enjoying all that the Yarra River has to offer. After a brief closure, it’s now reopened following a $5.8 million transformation. The landmark building now features a range of new spaces and new dining options courtesy of Australian Venue Co (the brains behind venues including the Prince Alfred Hotel, Yarra Botanica, and Fargo and Co).
To celebrate the opening of the revamped venue, five lucky Broadsheet readers (and four friends of each) will win the ultimate day on the banks of the Yarra. The winners and their mates will receive a welcome cocktail on the newly renovated riverfront deck, followed by a 30-minute boat hire session where you can take in the views of the river from your very own rowboat.
When you return to dry land, indulge in lunch or dinner at The Conservatory, on the upper level of the heritage-listed timber boathouse, with a shared menu designed by executive chef Christian Abbott.
Lastly, it’s time for the Boathouse Wine Paddle, taking you on a journey through Victoria’s diverse wine country with a five-glass flight of some of the best drops the state has to offer – complete with a virtual sommelier session with head of wine Matt Skinner.
