The biggest American sporting event of the year inconveniently takes place on Monday morning, Melbourne time. The Super Bowl begins at 10am tomorrow, with pre-game entertainment starting earlier.
More than 100 million Americans will tune in to watch the NFL version of the Grand Final, which takes place this year in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the New England Patriots (perennial Super Bowl attendees) taking on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The event is just as famous for its half-time entertainment – this year, Justin Timberlake – and custom-made ads as the actual football.
If you can escape the office, these bars will be waiting with chicken wings, burgers and beer, all before midday.
The Roy is not your average sports bar – its top-shelf liquor and cocktails here, alongside good beer. Think a breakfast Negron or Gin & Juice, with half-price pies at half time. Tickets are $10 and include a pitcher of beer on arrival. Buy them here.
