Win: A Double Pass to Melbourne’s One-Day-Only Pizza Planet Pop-Up and Toy Story 5 Screening

Bonnie is growing up, and playtime with toys has a little competition, but pizza? You’re never too old to enjoy a slice or two. And we’re dialling up the nostalgia of neon-lit pizza arcades in time for the release of Toy Story 5.

We’ve teamed up with Disney and Pixar to bring the beloved world of the animated franchise to life at Melbourne Central, with a takeover inspired by Toy Story’s iconic Pizza Planet arcade. Broadsheet readers have the chance to score one of five double passes to this one-night-only pizza party and exclusive screening of the new flick.

On Tuesday June 16, Pizza Planet will transform B Lucky & Sons into a retro-styled playground celebrating the enduring magic of real-world play. Think flashing arcade cabinets and claw machines packed with Toy Story prizes to be won. Plus, bespoke cocktails, photobooths and a special Pizza Luna menu curated by chef (and occasional Broadsheet contributor) Simon Cassar.

The experience taps into the central theme of Toy Story 5: toys vs tech. As Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang return to the big screen, this latest chapter explores what happens when classic toys come head-to-head with the handheld digital distractions of modern life. The Melbourne Central takeover leans all the way in, swapping endless scrolling and screen time for joystick battles, prize machine triumphs and pizza slices that deserve your full attention.

Five winners will receive entry to the invite-only Pizza Planet-inspired party, complete with food, drinks and a pre-loaded arcade card, before heading upstairs to Hoyts Melbourne Central for an exclusive preview screening of Toy Story 5 that same evening, ahead of its Australian cinema release on Thursday June 18.
