The Australian Open’s AO Live Stage line-up for 2018 has just been released.

Tennis, linen and cheese will all be there. And so will legendary R’n’B group TLC, who have been announced as the big guns for the series of concerts. Alongside hits like Waterfalls and Creep the band will also play material from their new self-titled album. Lead single Way Back is a banger. The band will need to allow for at least some scrubs. Nobody wants to see grubby tennis whites.

Tina Arena’s powerhouse vocals will be bouncing off the courts. While we hope the organisers rename the Aus Open’s home Tina Rod Laver Arena, “By the sweet Birrarung Marr moon” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. On the plus side you won’t get any sand in your champagne.

Arena’s Splendour in the Grass collaborators Client Liaison will add a bright dose of pastel to the sea of white. They’ll be joined by Northeast Party House, who jump between genres like a ball boy chasing his prize.

James Reyne will be playing the songs of Australian Crawl. For the most ocker of shows, he’ll be supported on the night by Daryl Braithwaite for an extra hit of nostalgia. We’re putting in a request right now for an Errol/The Horses mashup.

Take a look at the full line-up below.

The AO Live Stage runs from January 14 to 28. Access is included in the price of a ground pass, which you can purchase here.
