This One-Night-Only Event Opens Up the Conversation Around Sex, Pleasure and Modern Dating

Sex might be one of life’s most universal experiences, but talking about it openly – and thoroughly – can still feel surprisingly rare. Pleasure, consent, intimacy and communication are often discussed in whispers, when they’re discussed at all.

That’s exactly what Broadsheet and ahm want to change with Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby – a one-night-only event designed to bring sexual wellness into the open through thoughtful, intelligent and judgment-free conversation.

Taking place at Hope St Radio on Tuesday, June 23, the intimate evening invites guests to think about sexual wellbeing as part of overall wellness, because feeling good, staying connected and having honest conversations are all part of what keeps us well.

Hosted by clinical sexologist Meg Callander, the night centres on a live panel with author of Big Pussy Energy, Vanessa Muradian, who’ll read an excerpt from her book to spark discussion around pleasure, power and self-worth. She’ll be joined by ahm's Head of Health Advisory, Aarti Olsson, and High Tide founder Søren Poulsen, whose modern adult store approaches intimacy through curiosity, connection and education.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with skin-contact wines, a Cosmopolitan cocktail, and aphrodisiac-inspired snacks by Hope St Radio. A light-hearted interactive game will follow, designed to break the ice and naturally spark conversation.

Everyone will also leave with a thoughtfully curated goodie bag, including a copy of Muradian’s book and sexual wellness essentials from Drip, la-bas, Maison Balzac and more. 

The guest list is intentionally intimate: 50 guests, with just 25 winners, each able to bring a plus one. That could be your partner, your best friend or the person in your group chat who always ends up leading these conversations anyway.
