It's a match made in heaven. Summer. The MSO. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl. And it's all free.

2016 has one of the best line-ups yet for the annual series. American conductor Joshua Weilerstein will make his MSO debut for the first two concerts- Dvorak Under the Stars and Summer Carnival (where he will conduct MSO Concertmaster Dale Barltrop in the Barber Violin Concerto).

Dancing shoes might be required for the third concert, The Tang of Tango, which will feature conductor Benjamin Northey alongside Australian guitar virtuosos (and brothers) brothers Slava and Leonard Grigoryan in a Spanish-South American program.

Bring a rug, a picnic and some sunnies. They're all going to be great nights.

Wednesday February 17: Dvorak Under the Stars
Saturday February 20: Summer Carnival
Saturday February 27: The Tang of the Tango

Gates open at 4:30pm. Shows start 7:30pm and places are subject to availability. More information about the program can be found on the MSO website.
