This month City of Melbourne brings back the sixth annual Sunset Series in Fitzroy Gardens. The free four-date event is for all ages – enjoy a summer picnic in the city while listening to some great local music.

On opening night (Saturday January 16) see singer-songwriter Gena Rose Bruce, Zebras, gangster-swing band Frankie Wants Out and calypso band Mighty Duke and The Lords. The night after (Sunday January 17) will include a Bollywood dance workshop run by NB Dance with music from outfit The Fifths.

Sunset Series will continue the next weekend. The line-up on Saturday January 23 will include pop artist Eliza Hull, country-soul from Fraser A Gorman and indie-pop by Swim Season. The Cactus Channel will close the night with an instrumental soul session as the sun goes down.
