After The Tears
Borsch Vodka and Tears’ suburban sister, After The Tears, is a Polish restaurant that dishes up Borscht, herring and pierogi.
It’s a divergent space, with a large open dining hall and two dungeon-like rooms at the rear. Dim old-world lights provide the perfect setting while you dine on rye and fish, polish tapas, borscht, blintzes and cevapcici.
Founded by a trio of Polish expats, who dreamt of bringing the aphrodisiac vodkas of Poland to Australia, After the Tears' drinks list is mysterious and delectable, with a raft of infused vodkas, cocktails and mocktails.
While After The Tears might not be as chic as its Chapel Street counterpart, its draw card is certainly its authenticity and convenience. Situated next door to the Classic Cinema, it's perfect for a post-flick drink or a relaxed dinner beforehand.
