Untitled is a slick double-storey bar and restaurant designed to welcome locals like a second home. The 100-seater, designed by Flack Studio, has a sophisticated feel with decadent caramel, rich walnut and biscuity oak hues. While you might feel like you’ve stepped into an art gallery, tactility is key to Untitled’s winning formula. With multiple dining nooks, window-side seating, a horseshoe bar and a garden room, every aperitif, lunchtime stopover, and multi-course meal can feel like a different experience.

The kitchen serves a refined European-inspired menu. It might list crispy cotoletta with celeriac remoulade and a drizzle of caper-and-sage butter, or the fan-favourite chilli crab linguini infused with garlic confit and topped with salmon roe. If you’re feeling snacky, opt for oysters with desert lime mignonette.

The wine list retains the bistro’s Euro feel by skipping through Basque, Vicenza and Chablis, before coming home to roost in Victoria with a healthy mix of Mitchelton drops.

Owners Andrew Ryan (Mitchelton Wines, Melbourne Pub Group) and David Abela (3 Degrees Marketing) are both avid art collectors, which is where the restaurant’s enigmatic name originates.
