The name says it all. Everyday Coffee is a cafe committed to serving consistently outstanding coffee, every day. In the beginning it achieved this by cherry-picking the top roasts and blends of the moment.
As time has gone on, the cafe's expertise has grown and it now roasts most of its own black and filter options at Bureaux Collective. The exception is Small Batch's Candyman, which is used for white espresso. Every coffee is served with a glass of sparkling water to refresh your palate between sips.
Behind this simple operation is Mark Free, a long-time Brother Baba Budan employee who teamed up with friends Hugo Atkins (Magic Johnston, Hugs & Kisses) and Aaron Maxwell (ex-Seven Seeds and Wide Open Road).
The team’s only distraction from the coffee is a selection of baked goods, including Lune Croissants, Fatto a Mano sweets, savouries from Bar Paradiso and bagels from 5 & Dime. Noticing the penchant for quality suppliers here?
For the most part the vibe at the 20-seat space is restrained, with people quietly reading the paper, tapping away at their laptops at the communal table, or holding meetings at the two-seaters against the wall. On your way out you can grab a branded mug, a bag of beans or an entire batch-brew machine from the small retail space against the wall.
