It’s standing room only at The Continental, a new focaccia and espresso bar by the crew behind Gum. But the new spot, which is takeaway-only except for the $3.50 espresso at the bar, is easily somewhere you could stick around.

That starts with the menu. Early classics include the Continental Cold Cut panini (with salami, whipped ricotta, olives, peppers, hot honey and more) and veg-forward Mezze. If you’re off the bread, order a plate loaded with cold cuts and mezze classics. You can play some pool in the back room while you wait.
