Gnoccheria by Take Me Home in Coburg has been delivering gnocchi, ready-made meals, pastas and more since the onset of Covid-19 lockdowns. Now that we’ve officially entered a second lockdown period – right in the thick of winter no less – a miraculous van that delivers everyone’s favourite potato dumpling (sorry, pierogi) is just the kind of thing we need right now.

Keep an eye on the Instagram page – once you see a flavour that you like (there’s usually a different gnocchi dish each day), call (03) 9354 9985 and place your order before 3pm on Wednesday in time for weekly delivery on Thursday. If gnocchi isn’t your thing, there’s a robust line-up of Italian heat-and-eat meals and pantry staples. At $4 each, the pizza bases are excellent value. Otherwise, a whopping one-kilo lasagne – coming in at under $20 – is the perfect freezer ace up your sleeve.
