A section of Queen Street has been closed after a truck hit and killed a man in the city around 4.40pm this afternoon.
VicRoads has advised drivers to avoid the area and seek an alternate route, such as William Street.
All CBD buses will miss Queen Street, including Route 605, Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has said. PTV has advised potential passengers to “please consider alternative travel options”.
Transdev, which runs a third of Melbourne’s bus network, said all its city services have been affected and are “running up to 40 minutes late” – a delay expected to last from 5pm to 8pm, it said.
Queen Street will be closed between Lonsdale and Little Bourke streets, and Little Bourke Street will be closed westbound, ABC reports.
