A huge flood has developed on Victoria Street at the top edge of Melbourne’s CBD due to a burst water main.
Pictures from the scene show torrents of water cascading down the street this morning.
Victoria Street is currently closed between Swanston Street and Elizabeth Street in both directions.
Motorists are being advised to use Lonsdale Street or Queen Street to avoid the closure, which is under the control of emergency services. Allow extra time if you're travelling through the area.
