From 11.59pm on October 18, Melbourne’s lockdown rules are easing again (see the full list of changes here).
You’ll now be able to travel up to 25 kilometres from your home to meet friends and family outdoors. Up to 10 people (from a maximum of two households) can gather. To ensure everyone stays within their permitted radius, you could type your proposed destination into Google Maps, but this doesn’t show you the full range of places within your radius.
Instead, use these online tools that map a 25-kilometre circle around your home.
KM From Home lets you plug in your address so you can clearly see which areas, amenities and exercise buddies are within any set radius. It also lets you drop a pin at a friend’s address, so you can see where your two circles overlap so you can take a socially distanced walk together.
For when you’re on the move, the Ronaradius app also lets you plug in your address, then add a destination to see if it’s close enough to visit. Following today’s announcement, the developers have already extended the original five-kilometre circle to 25 kilometres.
