This month South Australian brewery Coopers and Tennis Australia announced a new five-year deal that will see Coopers in the glasses of Australian Open fans from 2017.

Dutch powerhouse Heineken was previously the official sponsor of the event, and will now relinquish its exclusive beer pourage rights to the Australian company.

The new contract will also extend to other major tournaments, including the Hopman Cup in Perth and the World Tennis Challenge in Adelaide.

The partnership is part of the Australian Open’s shift towards the food and drink experience. Last year Gazi, Uncle, Mamasita and Gelato Messina featured around the courts. Scott Pickett’s The Estelle is already confirmed to return in 2017. More restaurants are still to be announced.
