Bus services in Melbourne’s east and west, as well as in Ballarat and Geelong, will face further disruptions tomorrow as CDC Victoria bus drivers continue to strike for better pay.

All CDC Victoria bus services will be cancelled between 9am and 1pm on Tuesday, July 17. Services could be affected for up to one hour after the strike finishes. The timing of the strike has been chosen to ensure school bus services remain unaffected.

CDC Victoria is encouraging passengers to seek alternative transport arrangements and allow extra time to travel. Non-CDC bus services will not be affected.

Tuesday’s service disruptions follow strikes last Tuesday and Friday.

The Transport Workers Union, which represents the bus drivers, is seeking a four per cent wage increase and one per cent super increase from CDC, but has only been offered a 2.5 per cent wage increase according to the TWU.

See below for affected bus routes.
