In truly wild news, for four weeks this December you’ll be able to take to the sky in the middle of Melbourne’s CBD.
A 130-metre zipline is being installed over the Yarra.
Firefly Zipline will run the attraction, which will get you sky-high all the way from Fed Square, across the river to Alexandra Gardens. You’ll be suspended nine metres above the ground and travelling at speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour.
And it’s a dual-line zipline, which means you can zoom, mid-air, alongside someone just as thrill-seeking as you.
But here’s the catch: it’s a pop-up, and only 5000 tickets will be available from November 1. Mark it in your calendar.
Firefly Zipline will pop up from December 1 to 28. Tickets, starting from $39, go on sale from November 1; sign up here to be first to know more information.
