Little Andorra
Menu - Mr Yum
Luke Bresnan has long loved records and wine, so it made sense he combine the two. Each week Little Andorra features half a dozen new wines, and the typically jazz and blues records change almost as much.
There's also a 125-strong wine list, a quaint courtyard, private dining room and a tight but well thought-out menu of more than just drink accompaniments. Pork belly, or steak tartare with top rump steak from Butcher’s Block are typical.
It’s an unpretentious spot where you probably won’t get the full spiel on your drop. Instead, Bresnan prefers to summarise what you’ll be drinking with three descriptors – perhaps punchy, zesty, full-bodied.
The wines are mostly French, Italian and Spanish, focusing on classic styles. There are some orange and natural wines thrown in for good measure. The bar is strongest with bottles around the $60 mark where you’ll get the best bang for your buck, but there’s plenty under $50. There’s a small range of local beers, too.
