Yong Green Food
Over the years, we’ve accepted that eating less meat and fewer animal products is both healthy and good for the environment. As a result, it has become increasingly easy to dine out at restaurants and cafes while embracing such a lifestyle choice. In what may well be the final dietary frontier, raw food – meals that consist only of raw fruits, vegetables, seeds, grains and nuts – has now come to the forefront. If you think that sounds crazy, you should head to Yong Green Food for the perfect introduction to uncooked cooking.
This cosy venue is operated by two Korean sisters and they've made sure that it's homely, warm and friendly, without compromising a fast and efficient service. The menu is extensive and contains a variety of cooked, raw, vegan, organic and gluten-free options. Popular raw items include raw nachos, a raw nutty burger, "Rawsagne" and a range of raw deserts including pecan pie, carrot cake, and cheesecake. The date tea is not to be missed either.
Committing to a totally raw diet is a lot of work, but a sample of what the ladies at Yong have to offer, will at least convince you that it’s not all carrot sticks and mixed nuts.
We do not seek or accept payment from the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops listed in the Directory – inclusion is at our discretion. Venue profiles are written by independent freelancers paid by Broadsheet.
