Tori’s on Niagara Lane would be hard to find if it wasn’t for the constant lines of regulars waiting for strawberry matchas, delicate lychee shortcakes and matcha madeleines.
Three years after the original Tori’s opened in 2022, owner Tinee Su (Humble Rays, Suga Rays, Regale) cut the ribbon to a second store on Exhibition Street.
You’ll find the same signature baked goods with Asian flavours made at Tori’s central kitchen in Docklands, delivered to the stores every morning. There are delicate slices of ube Basque cheesecake, genmaicha cookies and Tori’s famous creamy garlic bread.
There are also savoury bread offerings, including vegan-friendly options. Flavours like truffle mushroom and corn cheese are fluffy and full of filling.
As always, the team behind the counter mixes signature drinks such as iced matchas, hojicha lattes and iced sesame dream lattes. The bakery cafe also launched a new line-up for matcha, featuring six different ceremonial-grade blends.
The outpost embraces floor-to-ceiling windows, arctic pendant lights and crisp wooden panels, creating an old-school, ambient atmosphere.
