Owners Steve and Dear Tamsitt draw on Dear’s Thai heritage in their recipes, combining sweet and savoury ingredients to create balanced flavours without overpowering sugariness.
Maple, caramel popcorn, green tea with red bean and cookies and cream-flavoured cupcakes are accompanied by a selection of macarons, sweet pies, doughnuts and cronuts. If you’d like to custom-order, don’t be shy – these guys are excited by eclectic requests.
Sweet Evelyn provides an all-day breakfast menu, with croissants and bread from Dench Bakers (the only food prepared offsite). Sweet Evelyn also serves Reverence Coffee’s Carousel blend, which won the 2014 gold medal at the Australian International Coffee Awards for best milk-based coffee.
