Features
Pearson & Murphy's, a stylish cafe in the newly refurbished, heritage-listed Francis Ormond Building in RMIT, looks set to inspire a whole new generation of high achievers. The cafe is named after Charles Henry Pearson and William Emmett Murphy, “intellectuals, political luminaries and social reformers” who were key players in the original foundation of RMIT as the Working Men’s College back in 1887.
With blonde-wood flooring, accents of bright yellow and black, and inventive design touches; the smart fit-out makes the most of the lofty space and abundant natural light, spilling out onto a gorgeous landscaped courtyard, with ample outdoor seating, where students and staff can be found enjoying a few rays between lectures.
Running from breakfast through to late lunch there’s a wide range of fresh, healthy and generous options, all with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern bent. Aside from being just a cafe, Pearson & Murphy's also caters for functions and delivers breakfast and lunch packs that can be ordered online.
