Mr Walker is an American-style cafe that pays homage to singer-songwriter Butch Walker, who has written songs for Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and The All American Rejects. It’s owned by Garry Rodakis of the Sycamore Group – which is also behind Autumn Leaves, The Spade and Sycamore Meadows.

Walker has spent much of his career in Los Angeles, which is reflected across the Cali-inspired menu. Mainstays include the beloved breakfast burrito, which comes packed with your choice of meat or the vegan-friendly tofu scramble; and mix-and-match tacos with birria dipping sauce. While nutrition-minded options, like an acai bowl with fruit, almond granola and house-made peanut butter, nod to LA’s healthier joints.

Coffee mostly comes from St Ali; expect to find its Orthodox Blend alongside rotating single origins. For something different, opt for an iced lavender latte, beetroot latte or velvety EVOO latte infused with extra virgin olive oil. There are also fresh juices, smoothies and classic milkshakes to enjoy.

Walker’s imprint can be found throughout the light and airy corner cafe, including chequerboard floors and decorative records that nod to his production studio in Georgia. The team worked with Samantha Colling Creative Studio to bring various dining areas to the space, including a bright outdoor spot and a light-filled back room whose wall is covered in Walker’s lyrics and playful, American-themed illustrations.
