Tivoli Road Bakery
Once part of Frank Camorra's MoVida restaurant empire, under the name MoVida Bakery, the South Yarra shop has since been passed on to head baker Michael James and his wife Pippa and renamed Tivoli Road Bakery.
Bread is of course a priority, with sourdough, spelt, soy and linseed and multigrain among the varieties to choose from. Those with a hunger for sweets are also very well catered for, with croissants (plain, almond or chocolate, each with optional jam), fruit danishes in both pear and apple varieties, fat slabs of chocolate brownie and chunky, and the cult favourites – round doughnuts with rotating flavours such as lemon custard, rhubarb or salted caramel.
The lunch menu features sandwiches with thick-cut slices of soy and linseed bread, which we recommend you get toasted, especially if it’s the delightful cheese and mush. Pies and sausage rolls tick the savoury pastries box, while a changing roster of soups and braised specials are sure to keep the encroaching winter chills at bay.
Customers can also expect to see Myrtleford Butter and Mount Zero olives available for sale, as well as Small Batch Coffee in the grinders.
